The WRRC is responsible for coordinating all the fields in the region for all youth sports as well as other outside groups. The WRRC coordinates the fields for fair usage between different sports and organizations. WRRC will work closely with Warwick School District and the municipalities to reserve field time and complete all necessary paperwork. The organizations listed below, will request and reserve field times through WRRC. Please visit the pages for organization for contact person, websites, schedules and other information.
The WRRC also assists the organizations in administrative duties, including volunteer clearances. All youth sport volunteers/coaches are expected to have a criminal background and child abuse clearance completed and on file. The FBI clearance will only be required if the coach/volunteer has lived outside of PA in the past 10 years. WRRC recommends that volunteers/coaches have their clearances updated every 5 years. Individuals/Volunteers can complete the requirements themselves. The criminal background check and child abuse check can also be completed and submitted online. Both of these clearances are free for volunteers. However, child abuse clearance can only be completed for free every 5 years. The FBI clearance can be started online but is only complete when finger prints are submitted. For any organization seeking help of volunteer clearances, please contact WRRC directly (Maria at 717-626-5096 ext. 237 or email@example.com)
Other resources available are for concussion training and awareness of certain health issues that athletes can experience. Coaches respond first and need to know the necessary steps to help the athlete. The links below are different online training that each individual will receive a certificate upon completion. These certificates along with clearances can all be kept on file by the WRRC if the organization chooses.
